Wednesday March 24, 2021 In Argentina fans shouted “Chaca is coming along the road, killing the Jews to make soap.” This is a direct anti-Semitic slur directed against Jews. The ream was was preparing for a game against their long-time rival, Atlanta. But Atlanta has a long history of positive and open relations with their Jewish fans, their administrators and even some players. Jewish fans have supported Atlanta for years - ever since its founding in 1904. This is not the first time a reference to soap has been made. In 2000, Chaca fans threw soap and Nazi flags at Atlanta fans. Then they chanted “the Jews were made of soap”. In 1988 Argentina passed laws forbidding this hate speech, making it illegal and punishable by imprisonment. Yet, in certain circles, it persists. Read my latest book THUGS. It's easy. Just click.
