I've Been Thinking:
One of the results of the new Israeli government is that the Israeli Arab community now sits in the government. And that means that they have power -- economic power.
And so, the new budget has an allocation of 29.5 billion shekel directed toward Israeli minorities. 29.5 billion shekel is equivalent to about $9.18 billion.
21.5 billion is part of a 5 year plan for the Arab sector. 3 billion NIS will be directed to Druze and Circassian minorities. The Bedouin population will receive 5 billion NIS.
This is a major step toward equalization. Equalization that is long overdue.
