By Micah Halpern
Saturday August 14, 2021 History is made in many ways. The first Israeli child to be born in Dubai is history. Ilan Sztulman, the head of Israel’s diplomatic mission in Dubai, and his wife Jackie are the proud parents of a newborn baby girl, born in Dubai. The baby, named Maya, was born in Dubai’s Mediclinic Hospital, is their fifth child. Proud Papa Sztulman marked the occasion saying: "Maya is the first Israeli citizen to be born on Dubai soil. We are especially delighted by the symbolic timing of her birth.” He continued: "There are many new Israeli owned businesses here and now we have an Israeli baby, born to a diplomat. When we issue her passport here in Dubai, we will be doubly excited because it will be the first Israeli passport issued here.” Many locals came to congratulate Sztulman. Even the chief of police came to say Mazel Tov. Foreign Minister Yair Lapid sent his congratulations over Twitter tweeting: "Maya is the first Israeli baby born in Dubai! Congratulations to Ilan Sztulman, head of mission and his wife Jackie. The entire ministry is raising our glasses in a toast". Read my latest book THUGS. It's easy. Just click.
