Thursday November 25, 2021 Events in the Middle East are changing quickly. Long held assumptions are no longer givens. The foundations are shifting. Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, who also doubles as the chief Iranian nuclear negotiator just visited the UAE. In Dubai, he met with several UAE leaders. UAE Presidential Adviser Anwar Gargash reported that the meetings went well. These two countries have been on opposite sides regarding Syria and Yemen and of course, Israel. Iran is not the only country sending emissaries to the UAE. Recent high level visitors have included US Special Envoy for Iran Rob Malley and representatives from Israel, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
