Israel and Turkey are working very closely on security – and, thankfully, it is paying off.

Turkish media is reporting that Turkey has thwarted several attacks on Israeli targets in Istanbul.

According to the reports, Iranian operatives were monitoring Israeli political figures and tourists for some time.  The Iranians were planning a combined shooting and abduction attack. One such target, reports claim, was a former Israeli ambassador and his wife who were staying at a hotel in the city's Beyoğlu district.

Israel’s Mossad is in constant contact with Turkish intel.  They have mutual goals.  Turkey does not want terror attacks on their soil - not even terrorist attacks against Israel.

It’s not good optics.
