By Micah Halpern
In an interview with CNN, on the day after US President Joe Biden left Saudi Arabia, Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said that Saudi Arabia that will normalize relations with Israel only after there is a two-state solution. The Saudi foreign minister said: "We have said that Saudi Arabia supports the Arab Peace Initiative. In fact, we offered it. We have made it clear that peace comes at the end of this process, not at the beginning of it." "We have also said that the countries that signed the Abrahamic Accords with Israel, those are sovereign decisions made by those countries. We hope that those decisions will have a positive impact on Israeli domestic efforts." Small steps are important, and those have been taken – even if Saudi Arabia has not changed its official stance on normalizing with Israel.
