Time heals diplomatic wounds.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made his first trip to any European Union country since the 2018 murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The country he chose to visit on this maiden voyage is Greece.

Bin Salman travelled with a large delegation composed of both government and business representatives.  Included in the crown prince’s itinerary was a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the signing of a series of bilateral investment and defense agreements.

The EU in general, and Greece in particular, has much to gain from Saudi interaction and investments.

In the end business, is more important any other issue.  Business triumphs.
