I've Been Thinking:

A 17-year-old Israeli was rescued after discovering himself in the middle of a minefield in the Golan Heights. The teenager was guided out of the 55 year old minefield with help from the IDF Combat Engineering Corps. The minefield, which was in an area that had been the site of wars between Israel and Syria, was strewn with deadly anti-personnel landmines decades after the hostilities ended.

Areas such as this one are all clearly marked - but every year people still wander into them. Inevitably grazing animals get blown up when they, too, wander in.

This incident had a happy ending.
