Shevah Weiss, the former Speaker of the Knesset, passed away at age 87. Weiss was a member of the Labor party, and an MK for 18 years. Weiss was a holocaust survivor form Poland. He also served as Israel’s ambassador to Poland. November 4, 1995, Weiss was on the stage at the peace rally in Tel Aviv next to Shimon Peres when Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated.
