« Bahrain Buckles and Boycotts Israel Again | Main | Does The US Trust Israel? » Pakistan & Israel
By Micah Halpern
Thursday October 13, 2005 I've Been Thinking: Pakistan has agreed to accept aid from Israel and from American Jewish groups. The aid will assist victims of the horrific earthquake that struck and ravaged the people of Pakistan. This is an enormous step forward. Pakistan is the second most populated Muslim country in the world. We are witnessing the second public gesture between Israel and Pakistan. The first was at a United Nations General Assembly event when President Musharaf, took the step of introducing his wife to Israeli Prime Minister Sharon. The significance is clear. Diplomatic relationships evolve as a result of mutual need and interests. Israel has much to offer Pakistan, not just in the aftermath of the quake, but more importantly, in the realm of high tech and telecommunications. I see a bright future here. 4 June 2017 12:14 PM in Thoughts
