« AHMADINEJAD'S FINAL SOLUTION | Main | The Russian Wild Card » A Palestinian Alternative
By Micah Halpern
Tuesday December 13, 2005 I've Been Thinking: There is an interesting political move afoot in the Palestinian Authority. The idea is to create a new, middle of the road, non-corrupt political party that will provide the Palestinian people with an alternative in the upcoming January elections. The people behind the party include Hanan Ashrawi, Yasser Abed Rabbo, and Salem Fayed. An alternative would be nice. But this alternative may just backfire, strengthening the Hamas numbers by splitting the more liberal elements of Palestinian society. On the other hand, it might be what it takes to give Abbas a serious kick in the pants and force him to seriously crack down on corruption and terror and chaos. Good luck. 4 June 2017 12:14 PM in Thoughts
