Friday March 14, 2008 I've Been Thinking: Syria has begun a total crackdown on internet use. Home internet use has been verboten for a long time. No more. The irony of it all is that when Bashar Assad was called back from London to assume his new role as president his very first promise was to provide internet use for all Syrians - once they had electricity, of course.
