Wednesday, July 16, 2008 I've Been Thinking: This is America. The biggest compliment a politician can receive is to be noticed. Talk to McCain now and, if he's being honest, he will say that he wishes he were on the cover of a national magazine (and I don't mean Newsweek), that his name was on everyone's lips, that his cause was the topic on every news and discussion program. No one can take the cover of New Yorker at face value - that's precisely the point. The cover of the New Yorker was an important testing of the waters. A large segment of Americans receive their news through the medium of humor. Read my new book THUGS. It's easy. Just click. 4 June 2017 12:14 PM in Thoughts
