Thursday August 14, 2008 I've Been Thinking: Israel anticipated the Russian-Georgia conflict late in 2007. Israel squelched an arms deal with Georgia. Russia took serious umbrage over the impending sale. Over the years, whenever Israel challenged Russia about selling weapons to Syria saying that those weapons would fall into the hands of terrorists the Russians would throw it back in the face of the Israelis.
