« Russia Invades Georgia Again | Main | An Arabic Curse » Carter and Hamas
By Micah Halpern
Monday December 15, 2008 I've Been Thinking: Yesterday Former President Jimmy Carter met Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal. Before the meeting Mashaal had said that there was no need for Hamas to continue the "lull" in the conflict with Israel. The best Israeli insight says that Hamas wants to continue the "lull." No surpise, but when Mashaal speaks he is not telling the entire truth, he is simply posturing in order to obtain a better bargaining position. Read my new book THUGS. It's easy.
