« Saudis Say Fight Iran | Main | Palestinian Disarray » Durban II, The Controversy Begins
By Micah Halpern
Saturday March 7, 2009 I've Been Thinking: Durban II will take place in Switzerland from April 20-25. Israel and Canada have already said that they will not be attending Durban II. In a very uncharacteristic move The EU announced to the UN Commission on Human Rights, the body that oversees the Durban conference, that they will not tolerate the flagrant anti-Semitism that has been permeating the resolutions. The Dutch, Belgian and Italian ambassadors have all made it clear that they will not accept these resolutions, either. The religion angle stems from the Muslim world which is still smoldering about the caricatures of Mohammed that appeared in the European press. Durban II is only around the corner and things are starting to heat up. Read my new book THUGS. It's easy. Just click. 4 June 2017 12:13 PM in Thoughts
