« Iran Ran A Hoax | Main | Ahmadinejad in Cairo » Israeli Chief of Staff in DC
By Micah Halpern
Monday February 4, 2013 I've Been Thinking: Israeli Army Chief of Staff Benny Ganz has just begun a five day trip to Washington, DC. This is an essential trip not only for Israel but also for the United States. The purpose of this trip is to solidify relations and continue dialogue between the countries. It is critical in terms of planning and approval. Ganz is very comfortable in DC. He was the Israeli army liaison in DC just a few years ago. He knows the players and they know him. Obviously there are major differences in points of view. The United States wants to hear that plans can be implemented that will help and not hurt the region. Think of this as a longer version of the briefings that led to the Israeli bombing of Syria last week. Read my new book THUGS. It's easy. Just click.
