Thursday September 5, 2013 I've Been Thinking: A new challenge is emerging regarding a military strike against Syria. Not the challenge that pundits, lawmakers, jurists and analysts have been discussing. This is not about leadership or decision making. Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General of the United Nations, has said clearly that a strike against Syria without UN Security Council agreement would be a violation of international law. And he is absolutely correct. The challenge is whether the United States will be able to withstand the ire of the international community and take a stand against the world, for the benefit of the world.
