« Irony - Israel & the Palestinians | Main | Friends Spy on Friends » US Senate Condemns Iran
By Micah Halpern
Saturday December 21, 2013 I've Been Thinking: On Friday the US Senate unanimously passed a resolution condemning Iran. The resolution called on Iran to free seven Bahai leaders who have been imprisoned as well as numerous other Bahai leaders who have been illegally held and never even charged. The resolution reads: The Senate "condemns the government of Iran for its state-sponsored persecution of its Bahai minority and its continued violation of the International Covenants on Human Rights." The White House has said that these resolutions are "not helpful." They added that this is not the time for resolutions of this nature. Clearly, even the democrats on Capitol Hill disagree with the president. Read my new book THUGS. It's easy. Just click.
