Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid met with his US counterpart Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Vienna.
Lapid indicated that Israel had made a serious mistake by alienating Democrats in the United States. Both Lapid and new Israeli Prime Minister Bennet are committed to improving and even strengthening the relationship between the United States and Israel, a relationship which is so important that it should be above US party politics.
Israeli Foreign Minister Lapid also made it clear that Israel is unhappy with the United States for advances being made toward Iran in resurrecting the 2015 Nuke Deal.
Before the meeting began Lapid said: "Israel has some serious reservations about the Iran nuclear deal that is being put together in Vienna. We believe the way to discuss those disagreements is through direct and professional conversations, not in press conferences."
