Sunday December 7, 2008 I've BeenThinking: Tonight begins the Muslim festival of Eid al Adha. Eid al Adha is best translated as the Festival of the Sacrifice. Eid al Adha takes place at the end of the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca. Eid al Adha is a three-day-long holiday. Families gather together and slaughter an animal.
