« Rockets Again Land in Israel | Main | Iran Has Another Secret Nuke Site » Oil Spill in Egypt
By Micah Halpern
Monday September 13, 2010 I've Been Thinking: The other day an oil barge filled with diesel tilted and dumped 110 tons of oil into the Nile River near Aswan. The oil slick is about 60 yards wide and 1.2 miles long. Most of Egypt's fresh water and drinking water come out of the Nile. The Egyptians are convinced that they have protected their water sources. Better yet, the Egyptian government is proclaiming that they have secured their fresh water. The Egyptian claim is not obvious to most analysts. We won't know what is really happening, we won't know whether the slick will endanger most of Egypt, for a few days. It is in Egypt's best interests to lower the intensity level and minimize the potential danger. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=halpern%2C+micah 4 June 2017 12:13 PM in Thoughts
