By Micah Halpern
Wednesday September 7, 2011 I've Been Thinking: For years I have been explaining how the Palestinians are not united, explaining that they are perpetually at one another's throat constantly. Here is another example of Palestinian disunity: On August 1st both Hamas, who control Gaza and the Palestinian Authority, who control the West Bank, agreed to change their clocks to Daylight Savings Time. The change cut an hour off the long hot days of Ramadan when so many Muslims fast for the entire month. On August 30th, at the end of Ramadan, the PA and the West Bank returned to Summer Time. Hamas in Gaza remained on DLS. Here's the hitch: Palestinian Authority institutions in Gaza which include some universities and almost every bank in Gaza, keep West Bank time. There is so little unity among the Palestinians that they cannot even agree on what time it is. Read my new book THUGS. It's easy. Just click.
