Tuesday November 29, 2016 I've Been Thinking: Iraqi forces have killed as many as 1000 ISIS fighters in Mosul. Only one Iraqi unit actually entered into Mosul from the East where the massive fighting was - this group is called the Golden Division and they are an elite, highly trained, unit. The advance on Mosul has taken 6 weeks. The momentum is now squarely on the side of the Allies and the Iraqi establishment. But ISIS has constantly been surprising the allies.
