Israel has suffered economically from COVID. Tourism, which was one of the major staples of the Israeli economy, ground to a halt for two years. The government of Israel just allocated NIS 235 million, which is about $73 million, for a tourism plan to help rebuild the tourism industry. It is not much money - but it is a start. The ripple effect of the halt in the tourism industry crosses almost all sectors of Israeli society and industry.
