I've Been Thinking:

Greece and Turkey are confronting raging, out of control, fires.

Israel has a great deal of experience fighting fires. Israelis use computers and models to fight and plot and fight fires. They offered to help Turkey and Greece.
Turkey rejected their help. Greece accepted.

A delegation of 16 Israeli firefighters will travel to Greece to assist in the fight against the severe wildfires ravaging the country.

Thousands of people fled their homes on the outskirts of Athens. Hundreds were evacuated by boat from the nearby island of Evia.

The wildfires are fueled by strong winds and searing temperatures.
